Soulful Girl from Appalachian Quilts

One of the things I truly enjoy about longarming is watching a quilt flimsy come to life once the quilting has begun.  This quilt was no disappointment.  The more I worked with the fabric, the more I fell in love with it.  Not to be prideful, but I absolutely adore this baby quilt!!!


I had auditioned that stripe fabric as sashing and in the little strippy part of the quilt, but it was just too busy.  It just screamed to be the binding.


The allover I chose with Retro Flower.  It just complemented the patterns in the fabrics.

Oh Baby! from Appalachian Quilts

It's still a little too cold to plant the rest of the seeds in the high tunnel.  We have a heater, but with the economy and life in general being what it is, I'm just too cheap to heat it.  So, a girl needs to entertain herself while she patiently waits to be able to start seeds.

Speculation is that there will be a baby boom in 9 months.  It's been kind of funny reading the social media memes on what we call this generation of babies....Coronials is the one that stands out. Names, well they ...
